I'm fairly certain this was pointed out in the original Derpi thread, but Ponybooru is the "Derpi-lite" site, DNPs and all, while Twibooru and Ponerpics eschew takedowns of rule-abiding content. Twi's got some novel features like text posts and MP4 support, whereas Poner hasn't had much in the way of updates since its inception, but it still chugs along so long as there's someone to poke the server when it derps out.

At the time of writing, Manebooru is the only altbooru that has a rule against fascist and hateful imagery and actually acts on it.

Ponerpics seems to be a Derpibooru alternative with less rules. Ponybooru and Twibooru seem to be archives. What about Manebooru? It seems to be a Derpibooru alternative, but it doesn’t specify what makes it different. So what is its purpose?

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
